Year-round, events such as performances, gigs and fairs are held at the ground floor Plaza (facing Victoria St) and stage, creating a carnival atmosphere. Big, bright and breezy, the Plaza is everything a communal space should be.

On any ordinary day, library goers use it as meeting point or just a place to hang out. The 24hours bookdrop is also located here, so you can return your borrowed library materials without having to enter the library.

In the lobby area, you will find self-service kiosks where you can apply for library membership or get a personalised i-souvenir and multimedia stations.

Need a break? Head for the Hanis café within the Plaza, on the ground floor. Have a cuppa to go with that great book, or check out the set meals, which are excellent value for money.
